1.Aeroplane - With blistering cool remixes being sunk into our brains over past few months from the likes of Friendly Fires, Cut Copy, Grace Jones and more recently Sebastien Tellier, Aeroplane are vastly becoming one to watch over the summer, as they will be electrifying some of the finest dance festivals within Europe. The Belgium duo mix strong, alternative based songs with soothing-on-the-ear electronic sounds, giving off a variety of dark vibes; simplistic but effective bass lines and just damn straight awesome disco beats.

2. A1 Bassline - Well what can be said about Christian Shank, with splitting his time from electro-punk outfit PartyShank to his solo project as A1 Bassline, he is producing some of the tightest, ruthless bass lines going at the moment. Giving a quality blend of house and garage, A1 Bassline is dishing out more remixes than you can chew. The Sheffield born Shank is looking into a very bright summer, with a new e.p Bad Man Horror Theme due out soon.

3. Ellie Goulding - The beautiful voice of Welsh born singer-songwriter Ellie Goulding, has been receiving a lot of hype as of late. With a distinctively unique peaceful voice, blended in nicely with an electronic synthesised sound, Goulding gains a creditability to be equally matched if not more so than past exceptional female songwriters. Crossing over a new wave electro-pop with an acoustic vibe, she has recently collaborated with electro pop star Frankmusik. Ellie Goulding looks set for promising things.

4. The Vanish - Oh my, not a band has giving me a feeling of excitement and buzz for a few months now. Upon finding them whilst blogging and becoming a firm favourite on Hype Machine this 2-piece Australian alternative electro-pop act gives out a very appealing DIY dance feeling. Accompanied with catchy hard hitting verses and cool sounding 80’s guitar rifts, this complete REFRESHED pre-90’s sound is brilliantly portrayed, which is obvious in the song “Hold On”.

5. Kid Cola - The young man from Cambridge, who only been producing for over a year whilst receiving a lot of support, is in the progression of smashing the electro scene. After being featured on the Kissy Sell Out show and with his first original material soon to be released in the sizzling 1st Floor Elevator, Kid Cola creates a dynamic feel with shake-up-the-dance-floor bass lines and grappling synth effects. Included here is his fantastic remix of Ladyhawke’s Back of the Van made a few months back.
